Graham’s family has farmed in the Kaharoa region since 1912, starting with a farm on Te Waerenga Road then progressing to Dairy farming on what now is Hamurana Golf Course. The family purchased a large holding in Te Pu, upper Kaharoa which they developed out of trees to become a productive sheep and beef unit – then to dairy grazing. They enjoyed the challenge that much they then purchased a neighbouring block and did the process all over again with Graham’s help, a D8 bulldozer and wheel tractors they turned an unproductive farm into a highly stocked dairy grazing unit.
Graham took up the challenge and extended his hand to the dairy farm industry where he milked 550 cows on a all grass system and being involved in 2 conversions over 5 years then to a smaller unit of 220 cows with good results reached.
Graham owns Beaufill Contracting Ltd which operates around the Rotorua District. Graham’s 2 children are now 4 generation to attend Kaharoa School. Graham is keen to offer his clients a personal service with a full understanding of farming needs.
